The Pyramid Complex of Giza (also known as the Giza Necropolis) is an archaeological site in Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, as well as associated complexes and the Great Sphinx. These monuments were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom in ancient Egypt between approximately 2600 and 2500 BC. The site also contains several temples, tombs, and the remains of a workers’ village.

The Pyramid Complex of Giza consists of the Great Pyramid, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, which was built between 2580 and 2560 BC, and the Pyramid of Khafre, which is smaller and located a few hundred meters to the southwest, as well as the Pyramid of Menkaure, also a few hundred meters to the southwest. The Great Sphinx is located on the east side of the complex, and Egyptologists agree that the head of the Sphinx represents the head of King Khafre.

How to Get from Cairo Day Trip Private excursion to Cairo?

Day Trip from Hurghada to Cairo

Departure: We will pick you up from your hotel at 3:00 AM and drive approximately 430 km to Cairo. (The distance from Marsa Alam to Cairo may vary.) Transportation is provided in an air-conditioned car or minibus.
Break: Around 5:30 AM, we will take a short break at a rest stop.
Arrival in Cairo: At about 8:00 AM, we will arrive in Cairo and begin our tour with a short city tour through Old Cairo to experience the authentic life of Egypt.
Egyptian Museum: Our next stop is the Egyptian Museum, the treasure chamber of the 7,000-year-old civilization. Here you will admire the legacy of ancient Egyptian culture. The museum is one of the most important in the world and offers deep insight into the achievements of ancient Egypt. Even in the garden of the museum, you will feel the aura of the wonderful works and the magic of the past.
Lunch: After visiting the museum, you will enjoy a traditional local lunch.
Visit to the Pyramids of Giza: We will then drive to Giza to visit the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. The pyramids are outstanding testimonies of the high culture along the Nile.
Return: Around 3:00 PM, we will leave Cairo and return to Hurghada. You will arrive back at your hotel at approximately 8:00 PM.
